Crostini

Try this appetizer that is lovely for holiday gatherings.

You’ll Need

  • French baguette
  • Olive oil

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375 F
  • Thinly slice bread into approximately ¼ inch thick pieces.
  • Lightly coat both sides in olive oil.
  • Place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake approximately 7 to 10 minutes. Test around 6 minutes to give you an idea of the level of crunchiness they’ve reached.
  • Let cool.

Notes

  • Serve warm or at room temperature.
  • Serve with soup, salmon pate, olive tapenade, hummus or other bean dips, artichoke dip, etc.
  • They can be stored in airtight container for around 1 week.
  • Will keep for approximately 2 weeks in an airtight container.

Play with Your Food

  • You can also use another bread such as Ciabatta. And bread that is a old or a little longer but still easy to cut can for this.
