Employee happiness is essential for your well-being but, honestly, also for your organization. That’s because happier employees tend to be more productive, creative, and that positive vibe is infectious! So, for this week in September, introduce these ideas at work to really enhance happiness all year long!

Cultivate Positive Relationships: Nurture connections with colleagues. A small thank you card or gift can do so much. Or have a lunch with someone you are not connecting with. Meeting colleagues away from the office is beneficial too, to create deeper connections.

Support a Coworker in a Health Challenge: Workdays can be long, so having a buddy group that you take a walk with on a break can be a great mood booster.

Focus on Work-Life Balance: What changes do you need to make to create this balance? Is it having a conversation with your supervisor to talk about realistic deadlines, working on your personal time management or even asking for help?

Recognition: Highlight successes of a coworker. This form of recognition means a lot for the person being commended as well as for you, as everyone wants to know that the work they do is valued.

These strategies can help boost workplace happiness in this month, and all year long.
