Take Time To Smell The … Leaves?

You’ve likely heard the adage that we should take time to smell the roses. Now that it’s fall, for our mental health we should take time in our day to smell the leaves!

Being outdoors in a space with trees and leaves is actually beneficial for your mental health, as it has been shown to create a sense of calm, and even benefit heart health.

As the autumn leaves turn and drop, they carry a lovely tannic aroma that defines the crisp cool change of the season.

Taking the time to notice that aroma acts like a mini-meditation to mentally clear the air, so to speak, and create a calmer mind space.

So get outside, and take time to smell the leaves!
