“Cocoa improves men’s vascular stiffness.” Wait, whaaaaaat?
What kind of article is this? Lemmie splain.
First of all, cocoa doesn’t come in little blue pills, this DOES have important medical relevance, and if the effect lasts for more than 4 hours it’s actually a good thing.

Here’s the Science-to-English translation of this article.
The flavanol antioxidants in cocoa help keep your arteries from losing their stretchyness. THIS, in turn, makes them better able to absorb blood pressure spikes, much like a balloon expands but does not pop.
However, if you’re arteries stiffen up like a pipe, they don’t expand when your blood pressure spikes. At that point, the more highly pressurized blood can pop out into your brain.
That’s called a stroke.
So eat your cocoa! By the way, when choosing your cocoa (or chocolate for that matter), the UNdutched cocoa has between 60 and 90 percent MORE of the polyphenols that are keeping your blood inside your blood vessels where they belong!
