This is my segment, recorded on KDKA-TV. I explain WHY excess sugar is a problem, what to be concerned about, and what is really not a problem at all.
One of the items that is just not a problem? Fruit.
I mean, I know people who won’t eat a banana or a peach because they’re afraid of the sugar and carbs. If you know anyone who is like this, you have to have them check this video out, because peaches are in-season, right now, and so very incredibly wonderfully deliciously healthy for you.
Let me know your thoughts!!

I think maybe leave out the sugar in your peach pie recipe!
Hi Iris!! It's funny you say that, because I just came home from lunch where I made the crust for another Peach Pie I'm making this evening.
Mmmmmmm. I will cut down on that sugar as well 🙂
Have a great day today.
Will
Thanks, Dr. Will! Yeah on the pie, peaches are usually so sweet by themselves, anyway, right? Maybe a more "savory" peach pie wouldn't be all that bad.
I got your Fat Fallacy book a few years ago; yours was the first book that made me take a good hard look at what I was eating. I haven't touched Campbell's soup in years because of it. Thanks for the work you do!
Hi Dr. Clower, I am just now reading your book The Fat Fallacy and decided to look you up online. I am a Brit and we have always slathered butter on everything and everyone in the family were always slim . I bought the low fat non fat thing for several years and believe because of it I suffered excruciating hormonal migraines and a host of other undesirable conditions. I am now back to my senses and feel so much better. I was told I had high BP and cholesterol and the Drs. wanted me on medication right away but I just never went back and years later here I am eating plenty of good healthy fat, as well coconut oil. I just figure 3 meals a day each one with protein, fat and a starch and as many non starcy fruits and veggies as I want. Im post menopausal and am a normal healthy weight. I love what you are teaching and it just makes sense. I believe it may take some time but eventually the rest of the world will catch up, I think the tide is actually turning now. Still a lot of it is tied in with the low carb ideas I say eat natural and you will be fine. Im really going to look into your other books and talks its all validation to me. Nice to see some common sense prevail for a change 🙂

You are so welcome, Iris!!
And, I'm so glad you're ditching those soups, too, because they typically have more salt than Salt Lake City ;).
Valerie, you are awesome!! Good for you!!
You have just described a piece of the Culture of Health that leads us into so many unhealthy conditions. Unfortunately we have to work so hard to overcome this current, which is sweeping us over the cliff.
Again, good for you for making the change and congratulations :))
