Your Brain’s Blind Spot
Your brain has a bit of a blind spot as it cannot tell fantasy from reality sometimes. For example, if you have a terrible nightmare, your heart races, you sweat, and your body produces stress hormones all for a dream that wasn’t real.
By contrast, if you have a positive outlook and find the good in the events of your life, your brain produces positive neurohormones.
While we are in confinement conditions, it’s important to take advantage of your brain’s blind spot. Find the good in all your events so your brain provides you with positive neurohormones. Avoid negative interpretations whenever you can to prevent your brain from giving you a full-blown stress response.
Think about how you are currently responding to stressful situations and focus on making those as positive as possible.
