End of the Year of Sugar Blues
Posted On December 16, 2020
The end of the year commonly comes with parties for the office and families celebrating the upcoming new year. These are wonderful times that often come with a wide variety of candies, cupcakes, and other confections.
Of course nothing is wrong with sugar, just like there is nothing wrong with calories themselves. What makes them bad is simply when we have too much of them. It is the high levels of sugar consumed at this time of year that becomes a health hazard.
So when you get to these parties, if you know you cannot stop eating after a bite or two, don’t start. But if you can, go ahead and taste, enjoy, and then put it down and move on to something else. This way, you get to “have your cake, and eat it too”!
