Amazing News for a Front Line Covid Nurse
There are many stories emerging from the lives of real people working their way through the covid epidemic. So much of the news is negative that I wanted to shine a brief ray of sunlight into that space.
Some things we can actually agree on. For example, we all know that a dose of good news would be a welcome relief, especially now with so much angst and stress swirling around our lives. And we can also agree that health care workers on the front lines of the Covid-19 pandemic deserve good things in their life — they have certainly built up some “Karma points” for their actions.
Well Terri Watkins is a nurse that works in a long term Covid-19 facility in Durham, NC and just won a $1 million dollar jackpot from the NC Education Lottery this week! She was so stunned that she told the lottery people that she didn’t believe them, and was certain that it was some kind of prank!
“Just seeing some of the things I’ve had to see, I’m very thankful. I had been praying for something to help me with this situation. I’m very blessed.” — Terri Watkins
